Iced Brown Sugar Cinnamon Oat Milk Latte

  • Author: Lisa
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A velvety, dairy-free iced latte made with oat milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon. This quick 5-10 minute recipe offers a comforting, coffee-shop-quality drink that is easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (60ml) strong espresso or cold brew
  • 1 cup (240ml) oat milk (barista-style recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (2g) ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup (150g) ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Extra cinnamon for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso or strong coffee using an espresso machine, French press, or Keurig. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture bubbles (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Heat the oat milk in the same saucepan or a microwave-safe bowl until steaming but not boiling (around 140°F/60°C).
  4. Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the hot espresso over the ice to chill it slightly.
  6. Add the cinnamon sugar syrup to the glass and stir well.
  7. Pour the warm oat milk over the coffee. For a frothier texture, blend the milk with ice or pour through a strainer.
  8. Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use barista-style oat milk for better frothing and creaminess. If the syrup becomes too thick, add a little more water. The cinnamon sugar syrup can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to two weeks. To reduce sweetness, use 1 tablespoon of brown sugar instead of 2.
