  • Author: Lisa
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

An impressive yet easy-to-assemble charcuterie board featuring sharp cheddar, cured meats, and addictive spiced nuts, perfect for feeding a crowd during game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box mixed crackers (water, seeded, flavored)
  • 1 small loaf baguette, sliced
  • 1 ½ cups spiced nuts mix (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
  • 8 oz block sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz salami or pepperoni
  • 4 oz prosciutto or bacon
  • ½ cup whole grain mustard
  • ½ cup grape jelly or fig jam
  • 1 cup grapes (red or green)
  • ½ cup dried cranberries or apricots
  • ½ cup pickles or olives
  • 1 small bag chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter or oil. Add 1 cup of nut mix and stir for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, smoked paprika, and salt over the nuts. Stir constantly for 1 minute until sugar melts and coats the nuts.
  4. Pour nuts onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and harden (about 5 minutes), then break apart.
  5. Slice the sharp cheddar into various shapes (triangles, cubes) and arrange on the board.
  6. Fold salami or pepperoni into rosettes or fans and arrange around the cheese.
  7. Place crackers in piles or fanned out along the edges of the board.
  8. Arrange baguette slices nearby.
  9. Place mustard and jam in small bowls near the cheese.
  10. Scatter grapes and dried cranberries in empty spaces.
  11. Pile spiced nuts in a cluster or small bowl.
  12. Add pickles/olives and chocolate-covered pretzels to complete the board.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Do not overcrowd the board; leave space for guests to grab items. Spiced nuts can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in an airtight container.
