Description
A thick, frothy, and creamy homemade salted caramel frappuccino that tastes like the coffee shop version but costs less and allows you to control the sugar. Ready in just 5 minutes with simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cold brew or strong coffee (chilled)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1½ cups ice cubes (packed)
- 3–4 tablespoons caramel sauce
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Extra caramel drizzle (for garnish)
Instructions
- Drizzle caramel sauce on the inside walls of a large glass and swirl to coat. Set aside.
- Add cold coffee, heavy cream, whole milk, caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
- Add ice cubes to the blender and blend on high for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is thick and slushy.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared glass.
- Top with whipped cream and drizzle with extra caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired and serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
Use cold coffee to prevent the ice from melting too quickly. Do not skimp on the ice for the proper texture. The base can be pre-mixed and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, but blend with fresh ice when ready to serve. Do not freeze the blended drink as the texture will suffer.
